I have been browsing Blitsy everyday trying to make a shopping list of craft supplies that I would love to have... I know Christmas is just around the corner but being unable to get to my crafty supplies is making my desire that much stronger.</div><div><br></div><div>I was gifted my new iPhone 5c from my husband so that is making my blogging so much easier. I love it!</div><div><br></div><div>So I'm also a part of a design team over on Down A Dirt Road Scrapbooking forum. I received a great kit for December that consisted of Bo Bunny Elf Magic and Simple Stories </div><div>I will let you see one of the great cards I created using the Simple Stories. I love how easy it was to create some great cards with this collection.</div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi_DNftiQ4OzgdWOwvUM9iDrZlJWyrN9HJgDicxK3Iz-OG-Tiyhmdz5aM8728Py8ZVf3njrjZ4C_uPK0VOyqMoKh7JMwLfi4Zuhr4m-InEDpdR7jCw0g4JQ4VZTiRcZgLR9_-XuWeztaMk/s640/blogger-image--391573187.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi_DNftiQ4OzgdWOwvUM9iDrZlJWyrN9HJgDicxK3Iz-OG-Tiyhmdz5aM8728Py8ZVf3njrjZ4C_uPK0VOyqMoKh7JMwLfi4Zuhr4m-InEDpdR7jCw0g4JQ4VZTiRcZgLR9_-XuWeztaMk/s640/blogger-image--391573187.jpg"></a></div>I added some jewels to this card front and Liquid Glass to the letters. I love how this card turned out. </div><div><br></div><div>So here is my post for today until tomorow!</div>Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09222726196009067968noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3989593159380679370.post-18494865651860694212013-10-30T10:52:00.000-06:002013-10-30T10:52:26.260-06:00{Catching Up.... Day 1}Well I have been designing for the Down A Dirt Road Scrapbooking Creative Team for 7 months now.... I completed my 6 month term and was asked if I would like to continue on with the Team. I jumped to say yes as it was so nice to pour my creativity into such a great team and it is local-ish to me...lol!<br />
<br />
I realize that I have neglected my blogging and will be trying to keep up once I get caught up. We have so many great challenges and kits that we work with each month that it is time I start to share those with you all!<br />
<br />
So let's go back to the beginning and I will share with you some of the great projects that I worked on...<br />
<br />
For April I received Bo Bunny Timepiece collection with many extras. I had some input into what paper collections I like this month and I had bought a mini album that was part of the Bo Bunny line so it was my first choice in the paper collections. <br />
<br />
When I bought the mini album it was one that I wanted to use for a memory album for my grandfather. He passed away when I was 8 and I don't have a lot of keepsakes from our time together and his life in general so I decided that it was important to start to document the memories I have to keep those so my children may one day get a little insight into my life and his as well. This was a very personal project for me and in trying to copy the photos for this album I have not yet added them yet...but like the album it is a precious reminded that time is necessary and not to be rushed...<br />

Well now down to my projects...<br />
I recently applied for the May Arts Halloween Challenge and was one lucky participant out of 21. I created a cool little Halloween Ribbon Tree.<br />
<br />
I added some Halloween themed cardstock, black tulle ribbon, black wire and FIMO Clay to create a black bat, candy corns and glowing bones....and of course four amazing May Art Ribbons of my choice...(They are amazing!!!)<br />
<br />

Next I created a quick door hanger that said Boo! I wanted to keep it really classy and simple. It may not scream Halloween but I think that it adds a little to the decor this season that is not a wreath...lol!<br />

On to my next project of a Trio of Pumpkins...<br />
I took some pressure treated 4x4's and distressed them. I painted it with a base coat of a taupe paint and top coat of an orange paint. I then took sandpaper and sanded and distressed the edges as desired. I then got my husband to cut some stems from a branch I had picked. Added them to the tops of the pumpkins and embellished with burlap and ribbon knots. I love how these turned out and even made a pair for a gift.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Finally, I created a few altered wooden frames. The first two I took some patterned paper and mod podeged them onto the frames. I inked the edges and added some sticker embellishments. A Glittery black raven and an epoxy sticker.<br />

This last frame I created was one that I painted to look like a candy corn. I added some ribbon and burlap, a wooded button and a bow to finish it off...Love the look of this one!<br />

May Arts is posting a call for a design team and I love ribbon s I was so excited when I finally decided that I would apply.<br />
<br />
I spent some time looking for my submission pieces and realized that I had some perfect projects for it.<br />
<br />
Submission #1 ~ Time Piece Mini Album<br />
I created this album after purchasing the album over 3 years ago. I finally got the project finished in April and will be sharing the actual project shortly on my blog.<br />

Submission #2<br />
This layout I loved and used the ribbon to reflect my dress and loved how it turned out. To achieve this particular look...<br />
<br />
Step one: Cut out a section of your cardstock that you wish to apply the ribbon lacing to.<br />
Step two: Select your distance for your eyelets and start to punch your holes.<br />
Step three: Start to add your eyelets.<br />
Step four: Start to lace your ribbon from whichever direction you desire. I selected to start from the top as my wedding dress in the photo was laced the same way so I wanted it to mimic the lacing in the photo. When you get to the bottom or top you can tie it in a knot or a bow. I chose a bow to again mimic my dress.<br />
Step five: Have fun with your project and play around until you get it to the desired look!<br />
<br />

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjHM5kzi5tZlGtU5Qzjx4K0M5mRf18dG_A_-kOWue8ph2im42sb-OrXm6SvnFhZCUvlYlvf7Kl0OiAXnLQG6H52vJkn_wMX27-R7EbG6DFYr0p3ZY9FcV7jJ_Q9tPSuDC2qkmkUW70KA6A/s1600/IMG_0720.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjHM5kzi5tZlGtU5Qzjx4K0M5mRf18dG_A_-kOWue8ph2im42sb-OrXm6SvnFhZCUvlYlvf7Kl0OiAXnLQG6H52vJkn_wMX27-R7EbG6DFYr0p3ZY9FcV7jJ_Q9tPSuDC2qkmkUW70KA6A/s1600/IMG_0720.JPG" /></a></div>
<br />
I took some pink ric rac and a 1 1/4" circle punch and cardstock. I punched the circle and used hot glue to adhere the ric rac to the circle. I figure that the product<a href="http://www.downadirtroadscrapbooking.com/paper-details/2804/cosmo-cricket-glubers-multi-pack-1-3-.html?pcategory=37&category=&PageNo=" target="_blank"> Glubers by Cosmo Cricket</a> {available in circle and strips} would be perfect to use to create many varieties of flowers ~ without burning your fingers!<br />
<br />
I used a die cut card and some Doodlebug Designs cardstock for my card. The yellow polka dot cardstock is from my own stash and my Close To My Heart Stamp set is one of my favorites. I stamped my greeting, the duck and the umbrella. I added Liquid Glass and Prisma Glitter to the umbrella. I added a jeweled brad and some pretty ribbon.<br />
<br />

I am hoping to create a cute mini album out of this card but as of now....it's a card.<br />

<br />
Since my first project wasn't very Spring related I decided to use the Jenni Bowlin Bingo tag I recieved in my bonus goodies from Alicia at Down A Dirt Road Scrapbooking and use it for part of my title. I needed to gather products to use that went well with the tag so I chose to use some Lucy paper from Close To My Heart.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjMhDjdGlkVUWhGuXyUEnfd_TFulFMwoG-AaApa8LzKRSieUtBtzdcTihoTVYxsKuHwaYkj0YNwplajZHy1PeTs94XOYI3JiLpRffc0vNI_NdurMR9ddibeSffNZ5VvQ17Ys7zdwDGEi30/s1600/IMG_0591.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjMhDjdGlkVUWhGuXyUEnfd_TFulFMwoG-AaApa8LzKRSieUtBtzdcTihoTVYxsKuHwaYkj0YNwplajZHy1PeTs94XOYI3JiLpRffc0vNI_NdurMR9ddibeSffNZ5VvQ17Ys7zdwDGEi30/s1600/IMG_0591.JPG" /></a></div>
<br />
I grabbed a sheet of Lucy cardstock and started to plan my layout. I somehow thought argyle and cut out an argyle pattern with my Cricut and Art Philosophy Cartridge.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj4YWEBf00Awyth6NG5VMAqtPrul0rQPD0kvrP4yqyUZdBg4K6Og_BMp9CcPxu-xVXEid_Z67SCFqan4y7ZvDTa_MBr7wfBT73vv_a7QGBZyENKVb1sj5zp-mZEbM5Qj6NKCeLTaBQTW8o/s1600/IMG_0590.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj4YWEBf00Awyth6NG5VMAqtPrul0rQPD0kvrP4yqyUZdBg4K6Og_BMp9CcPxu-xVXEid_Z67SCFqan4y7ZvDTa_MBr7wfBT73vv_a7QGBZyENKVb1sj5zp-mZEbM5Qj6NKCeLTaBQTW8o/s1600/IMG_0590.JPG" /></a></div>
<br />
I decided I haven't stitched a layout in a while and so I started to stitch a zig zag pattern in pink and green embroidery thread. Now I had to decide on how to use my bunny stamps. I stamped them and colored them. I added Liquid Glass to add texture and a glossy look to each and topped them up onto a scallop circle.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi9Rx9R4Xz_fg14mhC_nThlgkddHuBkB3_sfc8kbHDIoATX0gw3RZWX_Hm_fWjfsKInv1lh8vrPm1uTZ9PyvtW7Kif1kYCPtePQTp3eAY3AnAaYlPE1W2D4AOY5yCtKEt8JGtN8pwkTIUg/s1600/IMG_0593.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi9Rx9R4Xz_fg14mhC_nThlgkddHuBkB3_sfc8kbHDIoATX0gw3RZWX_Hm_fWjfsKInv1lh8vrPm1uTZ9PyvtW7Kif1kYCPtePQTp3eAY3AnAaYlPE1W2D4AOY5yCtKEt8JGtN8pwkTIUg/s1600/IMG_0593.JPG" /></a></div>
<br />
Now I decided spring and Easter needs flowers and I'm so over winter and snow I started stamping flowers and then instead of coloring them I added pastel vellum that was also stamped and adhered over the flowers. I started to add jewels and placed them onto the layout.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhVmYaZXGnMNuT_wNZoGTOWTlWKCjS7ocmzf9GrTp-AohLepyRX22X7vn8vnChALVehxYx9Mw1gRE3UIJEn83D-RUeo3SJU_WQ87pJ9gFMLc-5sYaI0IW-AsTh4Hk5IUW0vWZnSfmZhB_Y/s1600/IMG_0594.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhVmYaZXGnMNuT_wNZoGTOWTlWKCjS7ocmzf9GrTp-AohLepyRX22X7vn8vnChALVehxYx9Mw1gRE3UIJEn83D-RUeo3SJU_WQ87pJ9gFMLc-5sYaI0IW-AsTh4Hk5IUW0vWZnSfmZhB_Y/s1600/IMG_0594.JPG" /></a></div>

<br />
I saw the colorful lines and the baker's twine and looking through my own stash I found clear buttons. I laid them down onto the page and knew they were going to be added to the layout.<br />
<br />
I love washi tape but have never or hardly ever have I used any of my rolls...<br />
...Well, I found some that I started to stick onto my layout and voila...it was staying!<br />
<br />
I saw a journalling tag that was almost perfectly 4" x 6" size and remembered my flip flaps and decided to try one...<br />

<br />
I think I will be needing more of them because they are amazing. I added some ribbon with a single knot and some pretty pins to accent them.<br />
<br />
Add some rub-ons to the empty space, baker's twine for the buttons...Pick a title...luv in place of Love...I was short a letter so I improvised...<br />
<br />
Hope you all enjoy my first "Spring Stash" project for the Creative Team at: <br />

Now, I accepted a position over at<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.downadirtroadscrapbooking.com/" target="_blank"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgzF_O-Q6B7WzTSKZm1FJYAWObLX6NvY-iBHqb6G30Qt43JKVfncoFf7UGsCXtAeoKnF1wdwC6J2tkcWJSgpvVMv_Yha905Dof8eyaciXghkntTxug-ijEyINr3bQJn2M5Gzz2460506ew/s1600/down-dirt-road.png" /></a></div>
I was checking out the forum and the galleries of other members...<br />
<br />
Well, I was inspired to try to challenge myself to step out of my comfort zone.<br />
<br />
I don't k=normally create using purple. Not sure why but I don't. I have purchased beautiful paper and never touched it...until now!<br />
<br />
So after checking out my Pinterest boards I had decided to use one of my pins for inspiration. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.mayicarles.com/images/gallery/163082038172_5ec6a8caef923799ae69dd14d3451744.jpg" target="_blank"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiRNR2aFtoJPn-3ZYPxo1bVyLVEm7E787UWOLEmbww5Jpjc2NzyA2C7BIFSfE2XziFUvS3Z7hJCZXLkWXtI_0C1ygZqBdW_eKFcLKfauhIINQSHvST5Zqd3EB7JfGon6fUMkZ81dPUqpLc/s320/pinterest.com.jpg" width="195" /></a></div>
<br />
I found this to be such a great inspirational piece. If you click on the picture a link will take you to the original source.I used the picture to form my illustration on the dictionary page I used to be the background to my layout.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiKsTk_U06g5Lu1jFIeSy0G_fzpZ8nT3W1Q4mc-8I30nQoRc43zjtjk5jgAay-iqNhmh9vRKzwi3BUpFSHMFhtKbbAqptBwTTLqgeZ15OtQgwkH709QvCAvVyzeR8_2DW7GhNffOEk5THA/s1600/IMG_0474.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="282" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiKsTk_U06g5Lu1jFIeSy0G_fzpZ8nT3W1Q4mc-8I30nQoRc43zjtjk5jgAay-iqNhmh9vRKzwi3BUpFSHMFhtKbbAqptBwTTLqgeZ15OtQgwkH709QvCAvVyzeR8_2DW7GhNffOEk5THA/s320/IMG_0474.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
I had wanted to be able to add this layout to several challenges on the DADR forum. I used brads and decided to cluster them to add some bling and character ~ Challenge #1<br />
<br />
<br />
I used an old dictionary page and some Christmas bulb hangers. Unique recycling options ~ Challenge #2<br />
<br />
<br />
I used a scrap piece of pink lace ribbon on my layout to accent the photo - imagine that - a photo on a layout I created... crazy idea! Lace used on a project ~ Challenge #3<br />
<br />
<br />
Ribbon had been laced through the border I had punched with my new punch I bought on clearance - yay! Two border punches now - hope to add more... Punch used for border ~ Challenge #4<br />
<br />
<br />
Personal Challenge to Self ~ Step away from my comfort zone... Success! I love how this worked out.<br />

Now I grabbed a sheet of cardstock and a few stamp sets and gathered my ideas. I wanted polka dots to mimic the upper washi tape and chevron pattern in the cupcake wrapper... While looking I saw this amazing argyle pattern and was set....away I went stamping and spritzing...<br />

<br />
I stamped some polka dot patterns and some chevron and polka dot butterflies onto the cardstock and grabbed my white gel pen and started to doodle on the page. Faux stitching around butterflies and for the paths they take to signify my new journey I embarked on last fall. My CIBC Walk for the Cure - my way to celebrate life by giving to those fighting for it. I am adding another journey to my life this year and participating in the Arthritis Walk for my 6 year old daughter with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis.<br />
<br />
I decided to doodle my title in part because we all celebrate differently and for different reasons. March is a bittersweet month for me. My daughter was born 6 years ago this month, it is Juvenile Arthritis Awareness month, and my grandfather would have celebrated 73 years of life this year...falling short at 46.... So...for them I chose to celebrate life ~ ups and downs happen ~ life happens ~ it's how you look at them that matters ~<br />

<br />
Ok so maybe it is a little OCD but I think this would be a great way to boost productivity and creativity and also serve as a great way to organize the projects you have completed...this would make it easy to find as well as give you a great source of projects and instructions to use for workshops or clubs...<br />
<br />
Enough brainstorming...<br />
<br />
I created this banner as a project to challenge myself after completing the Spooky Banner that was an extra project with the Mischief Workshop On The Go. I decided to use the retired Cherry-O paper packet as I loved it when I saw it shortly after I started my business with Close To My Heart. I bought the paper and embellishments while it was on the While Supplies Last area of my website. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh3oF5vqskr0VHWTANMSzyQaWFYcOdM52eAmygTSWqs4xGfvzoPv53bkHrF589q_VIliGn1X3KnASO8kfiHwn7jkVfbFhHpCZUmxHzpfOzYBiv9a8XYbfphLg-1NdJDfNiNEPnlEQ604q8/s1600/IMG_0925.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="128" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh3oF5vqskr0VHWTANMSzyQaWFYcOdM52eAmygTSWqs4xGfvzoPv53bkHrF589q_VIliGn1X3KnASO8kfiHwn7jkVfbFhHpCZUmxHzpfOzYBiv9a8XYbfphLg-1NdJDfNiNEPnlEQ604q8/s400/IMG_0925.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
I went to work on picking my papers and cutting them out... I decided to add yo-yo flowers or rosettes...not sure which you all call it but I popped the letters to Welcome onto the centers of the rosettes. I layered the letters which I cut out with the Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge. (Yes I do use it...lol!) <br />

I added some Cherry-O self adhesive patterned pearl embellishments as well as some stickease. I also added some great buttons with some Colonial White Waxy Flax stitching...I love waxy flax too!<br />

<br />
I prefer not to use the jump ring for the banners as I find I tend to have them bend and separate while the banners are hung up. I would definitely not want to sell anything that was less than perfect for a customer so I chose to use ribbon to tie the banner together...not only does it look beautiful but it also works very well and is functional...<br />
<br />
Come join the fun over at <a href="http://www.heart2heartchallenges.blogspot.ca/" target="_blank">Heart 2 Heart Challenges</a>...I am and here is another post for this week. The challenge: Ribbon! So start blogging!<br />

So here comes another series of posts featuring banners and ribbon...I love ribbon and will be using these posts as entries to the <a href="http://heart2heartchallenges.blogspot.ca/" target="_blank">Heart 2 Heart Challenges</a> this week ~ Ribbon!!! Perfect for several of my projects...<br />
<br />
Here it goes...<br />
<br />
I recently had a great opportunity to create a mini banner for a little girl...My first instinct was "Dotty Paper!!!" but after a few moments and some questions asked I decided to go "Wild Rock Princess" So Roxie it was!<br />
<br />
I used three types of pendents and three patterns of paper from the paper packet. This just happens to be one of my favorite paper packs! I knew my customer liked the Trinity Alphabet stamp set so I knew I would be using them for the name...Presley...sounds so Rocker too!<br />

<br />
I started by picking my patterns of paper and began tracing and cutting (once again forgetting to use my Cricut and the Art Philosophy Cartridge...) Once all the pieces were cut, I chose to stamp roses from the Card Word Puzzle stamp set in two different card stock shades ~ Tulip and Smoothie. I decided to alternate them one each pendent. My first Idea was to place the name on each rose...not very impacting!!!<br />

<br />
I stamped each letter in black and chose to place them on a Desert Sand circle punched out with the 1 1/4" circle punch. I popped it up and layered it onto a Black scalloped circle that I punched with the 2" Scallop Circle punch. I then liquid glassed each letter - amazing effect!<br />

Now each rose needed bling so I chose to use some Crystazzi jewels in two styles and sizes. Some irridescent and some clear... all bling is perfect to me and the more the better.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-oZoAY-_hG2I/T9-VxF4M7rI/AAAAAAAAB2I/N_2XDZLrOSU/s1600/IMG_0864.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="196" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-oZoAY-_hG2I/T9-VxF4M7rI/AAAAAAAAB2I/N_2XDZLrOSU/s400/IMG_0864.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>

<br />
I LOVE bling so I knew I had to use some of my Teresa Colling Blingage jewels. Beautiful black jewels that hang so perfectly from a few of the pendents...Talk about Princess Glam...<br />
<br />
As I started to assemble the pieces I decided to add a glossy black chipboard key to the banner. I wanted it to be a symbol from this mom to her daughter ~ a key to her heart ~ what every mom gives to their child.<br />

Like I said I LOVE bling! So I decided to up the glam factor and added some Jolee self-adhesive Bling. I opted for these over the Bling Buttons because I wanted the square and rectangle shapes and less round or curved shapes to this project.<br />

<br />
I will start with the supplies I used:<br />
You Are... (S1204)<br />
Trinity Alphabet (E1021)<br />
Dimensional Element - Start (Z1680)<br />
Colonial White Cardstock (1388)<br />
Outdoor Denim Cardstock (1275)<br />
Cocoa Exclusive Ink (Z2114)<br />
Outdoor Denim Exclusive Ink (Z2140)<br />
Sparkles (Z1104)<br />
Bitty Sparkles (Z1263)<br />
Copic Markers<br />
<br />
This card was inspired by a photo in the current Idea Book. I love that this is a great perk of the Idea Books, there are so many wonderful examples of inspiration for consultants and customers. I saw this amazing cover to a mini album on page 141. It used the April SOTM. I thought this would make an amazing Father's Day card and it did.<br />

<br />
I changed certain aspects like the star and patterns. I placed the card front onto an Outdoor Denim card base that makes a 6" x 6" card. I truly love how this card turned out and hope you did too!<br />

<br />
As a child I remember wanting to be the Invisible woman or a princess...well not that either of those has come true, but I found that sense of nostalgia when I saw Close To My Heart's Superhero paper pack...I knew I needed to have it.<br />

<br />
I decided with no boys in my immediate family that I was not going to be needing a lot of the stamps that coordinate with the theme and I wasn't a huge fan of the new alphabet that coordinates with the theme either...so I decided to just buy the Workshop On The Go kit. (G1037)<br />
<br />
The Workshop On The Go kit contains:<br />
<ul>
<li>Superhero Paper Packet </li>
<li>My Acrylix® Superhero Workshop Stamp Set (C-size) </li>
<li>White Daisy Cardstock Sheets (2) </li>
<li>Comic Badge Buttons </li>
<li>Dimensional Elements Stars </li>
<li>Instructional Guide </li>
<li><i>Featured Colors: Cranberry, Moonstruck, Sky</i></li>
</ul>
I looked at all the papers used and decided that I really did not want to use the patterned pages for the base and wanted the layout to stand out because the paper was vibrant and bright...so I used some Outdoor Denim Cardstock (1275)<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiwy6UrQXBmtz4RxQb2vmVgyEYB6JCAkCkc5zJDmFWXBKuXvCtR8D2VQ-EY32p-krX0_L1F0vWGJghOqexMhyphenhyphenx1LHmlQZWukYx8mjYzWy8HHzE9PbaLzUj3Athgf7hQcbbOz8UBEDIruQY/s1600/IMG_0638.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiwy6UrQXBmtz4RxQb2vmVgyEYB6JCAkCkc5zJDmFWXBKuXvCtR8D2VQ-EY32p-krX0_L1F0vWGJghOqexMhyphenhyphenx1LHmlQZWukYx8mjYzWy8HHzE9PbaLzUj3Athgf7hQcbbOz8UBEDIruQY/s400/IMG_0638.JPG" width="300" /></a></div>
<br />
I kept everything that same as the instructions stated until I got to the part of the title...I didn't want to buy a stamp set that I would not use often so I used my Cricut and cut out my letters for the SUPER title... I sponged them Cranberry Ink (Z2116)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-nH1y4WAR0Jc/T8pd4fA5MXI/AAAAAAAABww/XmQTACblVwA/s1600/IMG_0639.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-nH1y4WAR0Jc/T8pd4fA5MXI/AAAAAAAABww/XmQTACblVwA/s400/IMG_0639.JPG" width="300" /></a></div>
<br />
Now I wanted to try a new technique so I stamped the back of my layout base and using my Dry Embossing Stylus (Z608) I pressed out the pattern and created a raised design on the front of my base. Once this was done I used my sanding block and gently sanded over the raised design to expose some of the white core of my cardstock...a favorite feature of the Close To My Heart cardstock...<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiCKgxJ-8GbW_gjjQhaUq53S_UIvt9Kogp_dR_Y5isUlpt7eRGHJM195sbEnTQAipm3kTSJYan247nyKthJQNpx-3hIwTAAgk7XrHzVwSgBKePbFKo9utjFBGFLI3zOOTDioiatHkFExbU/s1600/IMG_0640.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiCKgxJ-8GbW_gjjQhaUq53S_UIvt9Kogp_dR_Y5isUlpt7eRGHJM195sbEnTQAipm3kTSJYan247nyKthJQNpx-3hIwTAAgk7XrHzVwSgBKePbFKo9utjFBGFLI3zOOTDioiatHkFExbU/s400/IMG_0640.JPG" width="290" /></a></div>
I continued to sand the edges lightly of the layout and expose some of the core to add a nice distressed edge to the layout.<br />
<br />
I hope that this inspired you to want to try this paper out...<br />

I sat working on my 12" x 12" calendar (one very long project in the process...) and began thinking about the cards I wanted to make...I knew I was going to blog about the card I created a while back but looking through my stamps I decided there were about 4 more cards I knew I wanted to create...<br />
<br />
I saw a uber cute card on <a href="http://pinterest.com/pin/136867276145450733/" target="_blank">Pinterest</a> a while back and loved it. It was a plaid shirt and I knew just how I was going to make that card! I had the paper picked the minute I saw the example...Sarsaparilla...It is a retired paper pack that is very western and very awesome... I hardly use this paper as I have such limited amounts of this paper...<br />
<br />
Now when I saw this weeks challenge on<a href="http://heart2heartchallenges.blogspot.ca/" target="_blank"> Heart 2 Heart Challenges Blog</a> I knew I had to blog this card! I have recently become very active in these challenges and find it refreshing to see a challenge and either be hit with inspiration or see that I have a perfect project just waiting to be blogged about...<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-VcBtLOPfmjo/T9jTsxO1zrI/AAAAAAAABzI/BzMhpUmOD6s/s1600/IMG_0541.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-VcBtLOPfmjo/T9jTsxO1zrI/AAAAAAAABzI/BzMhpUmOD6s/s400/IMG_0541.JPG" width="300" /></a></div>
<br />
I scoped this card for several minutes and started to sketch out my dimensions...I played around and came up with the pattern. Careful not to waste any of my precious paper, I started to cut out my paper...I got my pieces cut out and ready for assembly...<br />
<br />
I got it all assembled and set out to add some faux stitching using my white gel pen and picked out some buttons. I laced the buttons with some black waxy flax and adhered them to the card.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-1rGKkJCRyZY/T9jTzsNtonI/AAAAAAAABzY/GqSiDvmnUP4/s1600/IMG_0542.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-1rGKkJCRyZY/T9jTzsNtonI/AAAAAAAABzY/GqSiDvmnUP4/s400/IMG_0542.JPG" width="300" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-fvdtpNt7b8c/T9jT2wVyg0I/AAAAAAAABzg/VZwW2XEAeqc/s1600/IMG_0543.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-fvdtpNt7b8c/T9jT2wVyg0I/AAAAAAAABzg/VZwW2XEAeqc/s400/IMG_0543.JPG" width="300" /></a></div>
<br />
I love how it turned out! The pocket fits a gift card in for that special Father in your life...(my hubby is sure to be wanting a Home Depot one..lol!)<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-95bHIG5Neos/T9jTvxiyr7I/AAAAAAAABzQ/sW8qFASboY0/s1600/IMG_0541.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-95bHIG5Neos/T9jTvxiyr7I/AAAAAAAABzQ/sW8qFASboY0/s400/IMG_0541.JPG" width="300" /></a></div>
<br />
I hope that you enjoyed this card and will come play along with the challenges over at <a href="http://heart2heartchallenges.blogspot.ca/" target="_blank">Heart 2 Heart Challenges.</a><br />

Nothing is better than a blank canvas...other than one that is finished! I had spent time looking at all the great projects using Dotty For You paper pack and decided to use it and the inspiration on the back of the insert and finally tackle what I thought was sure to be an overly difficult project...<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjjPEEfcdAxse9n3Q13W8oXWbBoyFBwOQFS-1Ny_2kx_pAGzGuN67pZ2nBEA2Rhyphenhyphen9kYZ9-4XGRT2ZyFmYgKKPn8o_Mc2Bi7XmTkZlX10duRhXGP1YyhhnwAfBiwyi3DcPaLFSwj7SstVTg/s1600/z1647.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjjPEEfcdAxse9n3Q13W8oXWbBoyFBwOQFS-1Ny_2kx_pAGzGuN67pZ2nBEA2Rhyphenhyphen9kYZ9-4XGRT2ZyFmYgKKPn8o_Mc2Bi7XmTkZlX10duRhXGP1YyhhnwAfBiwyi3DcPaLFSwj7SstVTg/s400/z1647.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
Well I wanted to keep the project super clean and simple but keep it looking spectacular. So what is a person to do?!?<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-na8PcUq5ESA/T6hFI7j2saI/AAAAAAAABRg/RzDL7RdCdXo/s1600/IMG_0366.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="392" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-na8PcUq5ESA/T6hFI7j2saI/AAAAAAAABRg/RzDL7RdCdXo/s400/IMG_0366.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
Let's Start with the top shall we...<br />
<br />
...I used the striped piece of Dotty paper with a grey matting. I carefully cut out 4 butterflies from another piece of Dotty paper and adhered them to the top so that the wings were able to flap...what butterfly wants to have their wings anchored down???<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-KhD7memQY0o/T6hFOMDmNEI/AAAAAAAABRw/up-0W6FgoLw/s1600/IMG_0369.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-KhD7memQY0o/T6hFOMDmNEI/AAAAAAAABRw/up-0W6FgoLw/s400/IMG_0369.JPG" width="375" /></a></div>
<br />
I love how all the butterflies have such dimension and the detail they add to the project.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-C3eQXcEZpaM/T6hFKTwenfI/AAAAAAAABRo/LWR8JNlXycU/s1600/IMG_0367.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="381" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-C3eQXcEZpaM/T6hFKTwenfI/AAAAAAAABRo/LWR8JNlXycU/s400/IMG_0367.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
I decided to cover the front flap with Grey Wool Cardstock and the Grey Flannel Dotty paper. I added a Sunny Yellow and Lagoon banner and placed the words Card Box onto the flap and front of the box.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-TuWtU7rZj7k/T6hFPq7T4NI/AAAAAAAABR4/lEgqMuj5iTM/s1600/IMG_0370.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="346" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-TuWtU7rZj7k/T6hFPq7T4NI/AAAAAAAABR4/lEgqMuj5iTM/s400/IMG_0370.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
I used the Color Ready Hodge Podge Adhesive Alphabet for the title and left them white adding Smooch Pearl Ink to give the letters a beautiful opalescent shimmer...just a little extra for my project. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhsY_llZ9qWXUSZnLVmpjXhKL8X5q3JgdFR3wcGUMaCwB_ymUo0mRHmbNp4TrpDomCcpCo1dVMg_RTeJVSZ_W7Mkgo6tCtNObhTLIFJKs9T0tUnC3NdMAs6wLAiTMVpr7YqJmVzgFVCR6I/s1600/IMG_0371.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="229" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhsY_llZ9qWXUSZnLVmpjXhKL8X5q3JgdFR3wcGUMaCwB_ymUo0mRHmbNp4TrpDomCcpCo1dVMg_RTeJVSZ_W7Mkgo6tCtNObhTLIFJKs9T0tUnC3NdMAs6wLAiTMVpr7YqJmVzgFVCR6I/s320/IMG_0371.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
At the other end of the flap I added 3 Clear Sparkles and love how it turned out..<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-dcEDrgRAKzM/T6hFTJAlDtI/AAAAAAAABSQ/bg05QcPNZWk/s1600/IMG_0373.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="287" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-dcEDrgRAKzM/T6hFTJAlDtI/AAAAAAAABSQ/bg05QcPNZWk/s400/IMG_0373.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
Although it doesn't show it well in the photo here there is a slight glimmer to the words...<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhZAW3BUPXJbqINQvhp1kncWOT_i1E35pA9_Ztm3xsNA6LuVRLYh20AOm1lsAvvJGbhAwO4JTdP3ob-t0oByws50WiWIrGt-Q3BBdHqY-h0DhDt1nN2XCXd6o02_frrnrWcbokFKl4nze0/s1600/IMG_0374.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhZAW3BUPXJbqINQvhp1kncWOT_i1E35pA9_Ztm3xsNA6LuVRLYh20AOm1lsAvvJGbhAwO4JTdP3ob-t0oByws50WiWIrGt-Q3BBdHqY-h0DhDt1nN2XCXd6o02_frrnrWcbokFKl4nze0/s400/IMG_0374.JPG" width="337" /></a></div>
A close up of the sparkles on the front flap...<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEguvhJ-ZvTG6qlm3vUPE5sUmqrqHOnV0F4bgJwWvMagiEE5bH5QyebIJS9nkSvPWp-SfGZS141zDkuR1FCpl-POoaqlth8QjdXxhqV4WFlt2TrLsKongCTYpSxrXg3h3bCiEs0W7eAXkVI/s1600/IMG_0372.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="357" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEguvhJ-ZvTG6qlm3vUPE5sUmqrqHOnV0F4bgJwWvMagiEE5bH5QyebIJS9nkSvPWp-SfGZS141zDkuR1FCpl-POoaqlth8QjdXxhqV4WFlt2TrLsKongCTYpSxrXg3h3bCiEs0W7eAXkVI/s400/IMG_0372.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
I also love how the front of the box looks amazing even without the flap down...I am thinking about recovering the interior looking at this photo right now...probably in Grey Flannel... Guess I will be adding that to the list of projects I wrote up...<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-VH5568_TJFM/T6hFVXudP4I/AAAAAAAABSg/zUmv_IM48aE/s1600/IMG_0375.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-VH5568_TJFM/T6hFVXudP4I/AAAAAAAABSg/zUmv_IM48aE/s400/IMG_0375.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
I covered all the sided with the Grey Flannel dotty paper and the bottom is covered with Grey Flannel Cardstock...<br />
<br />
Hope you enjoyed this project and will come back again for the next project...<br />

I decided to blog them in a couple separate posts so it makes it easier to follow...<br />
<br />
I loved the July Stamp of The Month from the moment I saw it...It was uber cool and I couldn't wait to play with it. It was one that I thought would be so versatile and useful on both cards and scrapbook layouts...<br />
<br />
I didn't really have a plan when these cards were created, I just wanted to try the puddle pad technique. So I ordered three Blue reinkers and grabbed some baby wipes... I had my rubber brayer and some white cardstock and I was ready...Time to make some paper...<br />
<br />
I was trying to make a sky... in hindsight, I realized several things...<br />
<ol>
<li>Make sure your baby wipes don't have patterns as they transfer onto the paper...My one paper had little bears...</li>
<li>When you see other examples of what the finished product is supposed to look like, don't be too hard on yourself when it doesn't look like that. The best part of this is that it is totally unique every time!</li>
<li>When you think you might have messed up, it really is not messed up, it is unique and will look beautiful and make someone smile! So don't throw it out, Create!</li>
</ol>
So here is what my cards ended up looking like...<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjURnrtLwzo3D1I0xq5DXpd1slKjFDp70Ub6KqAw0zGBSZNRH3vZ-H02C7K1M8MHsTH1eSgzWKwhfB-5ex-zdt-8Kk3W_X8F6j0YTJm789lLcjQR7Mnf5mMI0eCd-e4DAPMAOGmGVoxYlM/s1600/IMG_0568.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjURnrtLwzo3D1I0xq5DXpd1slKjFDp70Ub6KqAw0zGBSZNRH3vZ-H02C7K1M8MHsTH1eSgzWKwhfB-5ex-zdt-8Kk3W_X8F6j0YTJm789lLcjQR7Mnf5mMI0eCd-e4DAPMAOGmGVoxYlM/s400/IMG_0568.JPG" width="391" /></a></div>
I used the Soar Stamp and embossed it in Black. I added a strip of Black Satin Ribbon and a little bow.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-LOAVClh27tI/T9KGpon_dJI/AAAAAAAABy0/R-ESNAfOfXM/s1600/IMG_0569.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-LOAVClh27tI/T9KGpon_dJI/AAAAAAAABy0/R-ESNAfOfXM/s400/IMG_0569.JPG" width="300" /></a></div>
I took my Exacto knife and carefully cut out some of the butterfly wings to add dimension and interest to the card.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Ze69IJRw_uc/T9KGr6WTVDI/AAAAAAAABy8/9bsuomtTcj0/s1600/IMG_0570.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="376" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Ze69IJRw_uc/T9KGr6WTVDI/AAAAAAAABy8/9bsuomtTcj0/s400/IMG_0570.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
This card I wanted to keep it very simple because I loved how the color transferred to the paper and didn't want to take away from that. I again embossed the stamp using Black Embossing powder and added a simple strip of black satin ribbon.<br />
<br />
Truly makes you 'Imagine The Possibilities'<br />
<br />
I loved creating these cards and am so glad I finally had incentive to share them with you all. I don't know about you but I find I create more than I can blog...lol! Come back tomorrow for more projects and make sure you stop by <a href="http://heart2heartchallenges.blogspot.ca/" target="_blank">Heart 2 Heart Challenges</a> to see all the great projects!<br />

<br />
I have not been one to create with such little color but think that all good challenges bring out some great inspiration!<br />
<br />
I realized that a while back I have created several cards that fit into this challenge...to post one post or several, that is the question...<br />
<br />
I have decided to post a couple that fit together here in this post ~ Part 1<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
Well I find that I do this all the time...short on cards for weddings, graduations, or anniversaries...I decided that everyone needs cards for all occasions so while creating cards for the card club I added an anniversary card to the list. I love the one in the current Idea Book with the Card Word Puzzle Stamp Set (C1494) It is a 8x3.5 card which is also another thing I don't make often...for instance maybe once...This card uses the Wishes: All Stacked Up pattern.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhxiPIV-X1XXx2M7Q_jUPl_CTitj2wsYB3h17kfMQXwCiLpfBU57Y-bJ6QIxtztWaifXGymuwVGrkC-XnhXYm-TTfLUrdYb8ezQ-YeKRArWYPAYyeQZXlHOzAowgY7u_cTqKrEVPxCRlv8/s1600/C1494.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhxiPIV-X1XXx2M7Q_jUPl_CTitj2wsYB3h17kfMQXwCiLpfBU57Y-bJ6QIxtztWaifXGymuwVGrkC-XnhXYm-TTfLUrdYb8ezQ-YeKRArWYPAYyeQZXlHOzAowgY7u_cTqKrEVPxCRlv8/s400/C1494.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
Well I set out creating and fell in love with so many aspects of this card. I loved the simplicity without the card coming across as dull.<br />
<br />
I made the card on a cream base and added Dutch Blue Cardstock and using the Sanding Block in the Sanding Kit (Z1294) I sanded in a cross-thatch pattern to add some distressed marks to the white-cored cardstock.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-9uBThIcbBLk/T8pTNZ4sg-I/AAAAAAAABvM/cMHR7TmNm88/s1600/IMG_0765.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-9uBThIcbBLk/T8pTNZ4sg-I/AAAAAAAABvM/cMHR7TmNm88/s400/IMG_0765.JPG" width="208" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
I added some spritzed White Daisy cardstock squares (I used Walnut Ink in Java) and stamped my sentiment and two Desert Sand leaves onto the squares. I stamped three flowers onto the cream squares and using the Close To My Heart Watercolor Pencils I colored in each flower and blended. Cut them out and left a slight border around each one.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi7YpFzKmzXF9V257yKcS9qGTY28YU8V3PXM01tkPOS_hwpdCy5Xn6GT8EQmxL36Byptx-zGm0cv4J6Xt-hH7pNejd1DM_GelkJWMMmCt2YCPITdnUyLZloEpdI8MpF4ghePYn2XWlMfvI/s1600/IMG_0766.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi7YpFzKmzXF9V257yKcS9qGTY28YU8V3PXM01tkPOS_hwpdCy5Xn6GT8EQmxL36Byptx-zGm0cv4J6Xt-hH7pNejd1DM_GelkJWMMmCt2YCPITdnUyLZloEpdI8MpF4ghePYn2XWlMfvI/s400/IMG_0766.JPG" width="300" /></a></div>
<br />
Once all the pieces were ready I mounted the sentiment onto an Outdoor Denim Square and placed each piece onto the card front. I added some Bitty Pearls which I colored with a Copic marker and two Mocha Opaque Pearls onto the centers of the flowers.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-VgRUB4gOL5o/T8pTR8mpbTI/AAAAAAAABvc/nx1QMybpR74/s1600/IMG_0767.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-VgRUB4gOL5o/T8pTR8mpbTI/AAAAAAAABvc/nx1QMybpR74/s400/IMG_0767.JPG" width="263" /></a></div>
<br />
Onto the inside of the card I stamped a flower and colored with the watercolors and voila...New Card!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-tCgGSD-SiXA/T8pTS-b_qJI/AAAAAAAABvk/wEY6v8Qih0M/s1600/IMG_0768.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-tCgGSD-SiXA/T8pTS-b_qJI/AAAAAAAABvk/wEY6v8Qih0M/s400/IMG_0768.JPG" width="251" /></a></div>
I truly enjoyed creating this lovely card and hope one day I will part with this card and make a special couple smile! Join me again for another card and another stamp set...<br />

<br />
Well even though I am a consultant there are stamps that just don't speak to me or ones that I find I will probably never use...Then there are the stamps that I buy and never use or ones that I want and put off purchasing...We all do it, this month is the month that I am going to try to get a few of those stamps that I have been putting off...<br />
<br />
Well I was promising the ladies of the recent card club 4 cards and I went to the current<a href="http://closetomyhart.ctmh.com/CTMH/Content.aspx?id=%2fen%2fsitecore%2fcontent%2fOBA%2fProducts%2fOnline_Idea_Book.aspx" target="_blank"> Idea Book</a> for inspiration. I came across a picture of a 6x6 card that used a stamp that I really did not own. I had pondered buying it but thought it was not one that I would use much...<br />
<br />
So on this day I had to really try to figure out what I was going to do to allow me to create this card still...Inspiration strikes at the most odd of times... I sat planning another card and see the answer starting back at me... use a different stamp and add a different technique.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhxiPIV-X1XXx2M7Q_jUPl_CTitj2wsYB3h17kfMQXwCiLpfBU57Y-bJ6QIxtztWaifXGymuwVGrkC-XnhXYm-TTfLUrdYb8ezQ-YeKRArWYPAYyeQZXlHOzAowgY7u_cTqKrEVPxCRlv8/s1600/C1494.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhxiPIV-X1XXx2M7Q_jUPl_CTitj2wsYB3h17kfMQXwCiLpfBU57Y-bJ6QIxtztWaifXGymuwVGrkC-XnhXYm-TTfLUrdYb8ezQ-YeKRArWYPAYyeQZXlHOzAowgY7u_cTqKrEVPxCRlv8/s400/C1494.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
Instead of using the Rosy Regards (B1369) I chose to use Card Word Puzzle (C1494)<br />
<br />
I cut out the card base from Outdoor Denim Cardstock and added White Daisy with a pattern embossed into it. I added a piece of Pacifica Cardstock another White Daisy layer and a banner made of Pacifica.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjirAVC2gLusWObVfdcni4wKmxGlH0zgkeFUdOxdfA5PmN0wuA0uDU3If1dDWZ34AiyTvXArNDmRN6B6MFZuNlxA33qGkiOdSBLQty2G63iZNP6VyCM6RfDeo633kktPAIF_Q-KFwiLgMY/s1600/IMG_0769.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjirAVC2gLusWObVfdcni4wKmxGlH0zgkeFUdOxdfA5PmN0wuA0uDU3If1dDWZ34AiyTvXArNDmRN6B6MFZuNlxA33qGkiOdSBLQty2G63iZNP6VyCM6RfDeo633kktPAIF_Q-KFwiLgMY/s400/IMG_0769.JPG" width="348" /></a></div>
<br />
I stamped a set of 3 roses in Black Ink and shaded them with Close To My Heart Watercolor Pencils (3503), blended them and brushed over them with Create-A-Shade Pearl Paint (Z1039) to give them a little shimmer. Once they were dry I began to cut them out. One being the whole flower, next one a layer was taken off and the third layer was cut with one more layer missing...using 3-D foam squares I popped each layer up giving this card some great dimension...<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgOad512SlcIlwyeEy-eLAtGWZ6VSeMT7ywRe8lD1enpR2qlOWWNF4hahUfG7XFJGgoZLZC0Lr1tXbtU_li7DxJ_YeT6eXjeu1k-WGVQsWbwYKM-efjwesO2OkaH7utzyglOEqZZjAcQoE/s1600/IMG_0771.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgOad512SlcIlwyeEy-eLAtGWZ6VSeMT7ywRe8lD1enpR2qlOWWNF4hahUfG7XFJGgoZLZC0Lr1tXbtU_li7DxJ_YeT6eXjeu1k-WGVQsWbwYKM-efjwesO2OkaH7utzyglOEqZZjAcQoE/s400/IMG_0771.JPG" width="300" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjQsxURqDNooLaTRobAhetB9UlHj5MzWKOGvP4Kj3aMFbq6iqn2Y42a4YSUxRtfUvn9f6yF83DwyhbHIw7X-C9ZG58B6fEqN32kIZDUzDeOvoCIrHtbtHBVwAIaPC7ok5wzFBbrseDzGWE/s1600/IMG_0770.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjQsxURqDNooLaTRobAhetB9UlHj5MzWKOGvP4Kj3aMFbq6iqn2Y42a4YSUxRtfUvn9f6yF83DwyhbHIw7X-C9ZG58B6fEqN32kIZDUzDeOvoCIrHtbtHBVwAIaPC7ok5wzFBbrseDzGWE/s400/IMG_0770.JPG" width="300" /></a></div>
<br />
Once the rose was completely assembled, I took my Bronze Glitz Glitter Gel (Z1483) and added some to the center of the rose. I love the look that resulted...<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Vyn6NxybydI/T8pTZ98LxUI/AAAAAAAABwE/oy6tcIacSF8/s1600/IMG_0772.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Vyn6NxybydI/T8pTZ98LxUI/AAAAAAAABwE/oy6tcIacSF8/s400/IMG_0772.JPG" width="300" /></a></div>
<br />
I had to come up with a sentiment and didn't want to let this card be anything but Cheery...So I opted for 'Cheer Up!' from 4 My Friend (D1510) I stamped it in White Daisy Ink (Z2163)<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjalytyZsd7UI-8g-VRpHHze3qVWRy4uowj5ZbLl03N9A35GNwWhhJulPnAw0_ZaMhKmgOfTUJWoN4PDiLao-LcCMTfW93CsbF3nDaItA9TbHvMMUttlL55mA6wtANVY11d6Qa49_jZi3M/s1600/D1510.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjalytyZsd7UI-8g-VRpHHze3qVWRy4uowj5ZbLl03N9A35GNwWhhJulPnAw0_ZaMhKmgOfTUJWoN4PDiLao-LcCMTfW93CsbF3nDaItA9TbHvMMUttlL55mA6wtANVY11d6Qa49_jZi3M/s400/D1510.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
How often do you see cards where the inside is dark or forgotten. I thought since this card has a dark base I added a white daisy cardstock base to the inside of the card and distressed the edges in Dutch Blue Ink and stamped a couple butterflies to the corners...<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Well I finally found time to use it before someone came looking for it...<br />
<br />
I was looking for cards to use for the card club again and really wanted to create this card in the current <a href="http://closetomyhart.ctmh.com/CTMH/Content.aspx?id=%2fen%2fsitecore%2fcontent%2fOBA%2fProducts%2fOnline_Idea_Book.aspx" target="_blank">Idea Book</a>. So I took a stab at it... If you decide that you would like to try it too you can find the pattern for it in the Wishes How-to Book. The pattern is called Gallery. I went be just the look of the card and tried to create it myself...<br />
<br />
<i><b>Here's what I used:</b></i><br />
B1398 ~ Just for You<br />
Z7147B ~ Stella Paper Packet<br />
Z1360 ~ Rhinestone Designer Brads<br />
Z2114 ~ Cocoa Exclusive Ink<br />
Z2155 ~ Topiary Exclusive Ink<br />
Z2195 ~ Lagoon Exclusive Ink<br />
Z2118 ~ Desert Sand Exclusive Ink<br />
Z697 ~ Sponge <br />
White Gel Pen<br />
<br />
On to the card...<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjmbWg9ZYDDhgUgX6GhuHKmU-NZPG3keaMNaaYXvRAdUTEvgFcoMyYngezFzaOYMt42DYy4WLLOheqTM0_9vY0au_vbLNpmPBYO8J7ApU9OIoZ0eJuDTnM-i8nVYsp792yLEa5xuGynmd8/s1600/IMG_0761.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="388" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjmbWg9ZYDDhgUgX6GhuHKmU-NZPG3keaMNaaYXvRAdUTEvgFcoMyYngezFzaOYMt42DYy4WLLOheqTM0_9vY0au_vbLNpmPBYO8J7ApU9OIoZ0eJuDTnM-i8nVYsp792yLEa5xuGynmd8/s400/IMG_0761.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
I started by cutting the flowered shape on the Cricut using the Art Philosophy Cartridge. This is just one of the many (over 700 shapes) that this useful cartridge cuts out... I then stamped the dotted lines in cocoa onto the shape and picked a pattern and stamped it first in Lagoon and then 'Rock & Rolled' the stamp into Topiary...stamp and repeat, stamp and repeat, stamp and repeat...x6....<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgStIrKj-uziamOCsq9k9xvg7HxaWR353LqqHjzyX3eKSatYjnRmunHPZhQKQLtUwt7emajSrqTWZrgsgiaLiKuEx9jmfrpt6xD_2CyGsBL60I4E9pfo5MJFXbDICZMjh4XWIGiq5-xlos/s1600/IMG_0762.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgStIrKj-uziamOCsq9k9xvg7HxaWR353LqqHjzyX3eKSatYjnRmunHPZhQKQLtUwt7emajSrqTWZrgsgiaLiKuEx9jmfrpt6xD_2CyGsBL60I4E9pfo5MJFXbDICZMjh4XWIGiq5-xlos/s400/IMG_0762.JPG" width="346" /></a></div>
I distressed the edges using Desert Sand and a sponge giving the edges a beautiful golden glow as well as the look of an aged piece of paper...leaving it looking stunning!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-caiaEoB9ijE/T8pTL6DfYoI/AAAAAAAABvE/8lm139VkB8k/s1600/IMG_0764.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-caiaEoB9ijE/T8pTL6DfYoI/AAAAAAAABvE/8lm139VkB8k/s320/IMG_0764.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
I used a white gel pen to draw on faux stitching which is a quick and easy way to add simple details without it taking hours of hand stitching. I added the faux stitching to tie in the cocoa stitched pattern on the flower cut out...<br />
<br />
I used mt piercing tool and pierced a hole into the center of the cut out and placed a rhinestone brad. Added 3-D foam squares and pooped up the cut out for some added dimension.<br />
<br />
Hope you enjoyed this card, there's more where that came from...stay tuned for more!<br />

I chose the A-sized A Tree Stamp Set (A1124)<br />
<br />
I have loved this stamp since I first set eyes on it. So as I was recently planning for a card club I had been looking at all the great projects in the current <a href="http://closetomyhart.ctmh.com/CTMH/Content.aspx?id=%2fen%2fsitecore%2fcontent%2fOBA%2fProducts%2fOnline_Idea_Book.aspx" target="_blank">Idea Book</a> I came across a 6x6 card using this stamp and decided to put a spin on this and use the Dotty For You paper that was the Constant Campaign in April and May...it was so popular that it sold out before the cut off...Talk about popular! I also decided to make this card into a 4x4 card...<br />
<br />
So here is what I came up with...<br />
<br />
Pear base with Lagoon Dotty Paper, White Daisy square and stamped images...<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-enAOo89p0qg/T8pS91L1cDI/AAAAAAAABuU/MhZdsSFbrZI/s1600/IMG_0757.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="330" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-enAOo89p0qg/T8pS91L1cDI/AAAAAAAABuU/MhZdsSFbrZI/s400/IMG_0757.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I did a set of 6 cards and each tree had one Tulip butterfly. The tree top is popped up with 3-D Foam Squares<br />
<br />
<i><b>Items used in this project:</b></i><br />
A1124 ~ A Tree<br />
Pear Cardstock<br />

White Daisy Cardstock<br />
Z2111 ~ Chocolate Exclusive Ink<br />
Z2197 ~ Pear Exclusive Ink<br />
