With Father's Day quickly approaching I have been busy creating. I sat working on my 12" x 12" calendar (one very long project in the process...) and began thinking about the cards I wanted to make...I knew I was going to blog about the card I created a while back but looking through my stamps I decided there were about 4 more cards I knew I wanted to create...
I saw a uber cute card on Pinterest a while back and loved it. It was a plaid shirt and I knew just how I was going to make that card! I had the paper picked the minute I saw the example...Sarsaparilla...It is a retired paper pack that is very western and very awesome... I hardly use this paper as I have such limited amounts of this paper...
Now when I saw this weeks challenge on Heart 2 Heart Challenges Blog I knew I had to blog this card! I have recently become very active in these challenges and find it refreshing to see a challenge and either be hit with inspiration or see that I have a perfect project just waiting to be blogged about...
I scoped this card for several minutes and started to sketch out my dimensions...I played around and came up with the pattern. Careful not to waste any of my precious paper, I started to cut out my paper...I got my pieces cut out and ready for assembly...
I got it all assembled and set out to add some faux stitching using my white gel pen and picked out some buttons. I laced the buttons with some black waxy flax and adhered them to the card.
I love how it turned out! The pocket fits a gift card in for that special Father in your life...(my hubby is sure to be wanting a Home Depot one..lol!)
I hope that you enjoyed this card and will come play along with the challenges over at Heart 2 Heart Challenges.
