{Dotty For You Card Box}

I recently decided to complete a long overdue project...my unfinished card box! Nothing is better than a blank canvas...other than one that is finished! I had spent time looking at all the great projects using Dotty For You paper pack and decided to use it and the inspiration on the back of the insert and finally tackle what I thought was sure to be an overly difficult project...

Well I wanted to keep the project super clean and simple but keep it looking spectacular. So what is a person to do?!?
Let's Start with the top shall we...

...I used the striped piece of Dotty paper with a grey matting. I carefully cut out 4 butterflies from another piece of Dotty paper and adhered them to the top so that the wings were able to flap...what butterfly wants to have their wings anchored down???

I love how all the butterflies have such dimension and the detail they add to the project.

 I decided to cover the front flap with Grey Wool Cardstock and the Grey Flannel Dotty paper. I added a Sunny Yellow and Lagoon banner and placed the words Card Box onto the flap and front of the box.

I used the Color Ready Hodge Podge Adhesive Alphabet for the title and left them white adding Smooch Pearl Ink to give the letters a beautiful opalescent shimmer...just a little extra for my project.

 At the other end of the flap I added 3 Clear Sparkles and love how it turned out..

 Although it doesn't show it well in the photo here there is a slight glimmer to the words...

 A close up of the sparkles on the front flap...

I also love how the front of the box looks amazing even without the flap down...I am thinking about recovering the interior looking at this photo right now...probably in Grey Flannel... Guess I will be adding that to the list of projects I wrote up...

I covered all the sided with the Grey Flannel dotty paper and the bottom is covered with Grey Flannel Cardstock...

Hope you enjoyed this project and will come back again for the next project...

Let's Live Inspired!
